This is gettin really weird

Thanks. I don't have an sd card right now. Now the phone won't even show up on my pc. Every time I connect it, there seems to be a different interface it's using. I connected it a few minutes ago, and Auto Play SGH-i777 comes up, but it's not listed in My Computer as a drive like it usually is. The phone says "USB connected" in Notifications, but when I go to Settings/Wireless and network//USB utilities - I click on Connect storage to PC and it says "USB is connected. Remove the cable." This happened before, and when I called Samsung support, the tech laughed and said, " I don't know what the engineers were thinking when they did that."
