Birdman-
Thanks for the info. How do you like the Droid X? Do you know if this is the latest Droid? I am a bit "worried" since I have never used a smartphone, but I have got to get with it or I am going to be so lost in a short time.

As far as using your Droid X, can you talk on the phone when you are using it with your MacBook Pro? Is that considered a mobile hot spot or WiFi? How do you make sure you do not go over your allowance? Finally, is the connection 4G when you use your Apple products with the Droid X hot spot?

thanks again. I need all the help I can get. When I call in and upgrade, I want to not be taken for a ride by Verizon, so I need to learn about this all. I was going to get the iPhone 4s but I think that will be out-dated soon and it is not 4G. If you know of any sites that teach about the latest Droid (quad core Android coming in May) or the best Droid (Razr Maxx?) I would appreciate if you let me know.

One last question-very basic question because I do not know this stuff. Is "Droid" short for "Android?"
