My experience was very simular to Mr. "1996 Jeep GC" above. I had a co-worker with a stalling Jeep Cherokee. I heard him tell stories about changing the varous sensors and get charged $100-200 each time. It would run perfectly for a day or month then stall again. Being a German aircraft mechanic, I knew I had to solve this for my co-worker. I read all the C-Net posts for the last 10 years and decided that I would troubleshoot his problem. It just happened the Jeep "died" at work one day and I was able to see it in the "no start" condition. I took off the radiator overflow tank to gain access to the PCM. I removed the plastic shield over the connectors (just snaps off). I asked him to try to start the Jeep while I wiggled the inboard connector. BAM!! It started. Without further troubleshooting I REMOVED both screws (and left them out). So far the Jeep starts every time. I haven't decided if we will leave them out or replace them with some nylon/plastic screws. Right now it runs like a champ!!!
