Audi Music Interface - iPod help

Hi all,

I have a new 2010 Audi A3 with the Audi Music Interface (AMI). I have the iPod cable and my iPod Classic is quickly recognized and everything works. But every few days, I start the car and press the MEDIA button on the head unit to get to the iPod and there is an error. The AMI can't initialize a connection with the iPod.

The iPod isn't locked up. If I just unplug and plug the iPod in again its recognized and everything is fine.

Any Audi owners/AMI users ever heard of this?

Any insights would be helpful.
