Well if you tool around on flat land and lightly loaded then the 2.2 will do ok. If you like to drive it a little harder then the 2.4 will be better how much is subjective. Me I would like the V8 option but.. Best deal is to go drive one judge for yourself. Like I said it's not bad with 2.2 but we all have a level of what is enough. Pays your money and takes your choice, right? It's not a racer but I was really impressed with how smooth it rode and wasn't bad on gas. Drive one that's the best way to get to know one. If you live in a metropolitan area go to National or someone and rent one for the weekend that's what I did but for business. Load up the friends and go for a ride. You have only 15K on a three year old car!??? Why get rid of it? If it's just your thing then go ahead. I drive anything I own till at least 200K all my GM vehicles have lasted until I get bored with it and want something newer. Buy good gas keep clean oil in it and change all the filters and many GM vehicles will run many miles! The lowest mile vehicle I have ever traded was 175K and I bought a Red Cadillac it was a fantastic car that would go 80 all day and give you 31mpg.
