I already had really good sound software and a decent turntable, but ended up buying this guy's software anyway because of some of the tricks it accomplished. He makes a good case against USB turntables. If I didn't already have one (I made it even better by upgrading the stylus), I would have bought the turntable too. http://www.dak.com/. I have digitized many of my late uncle's old LPs so he could listen to them again. It was a fun project.
