If so, my suggestion would be to take Bob's advice and-

1) Use a CD lens cleaner (sometimes this can help)

2) See if you can get it repaired.

3) Try a *different* brand of Music CDR*. In the past when I've used my old Philipps audio cd recorder, it has become wonky so I tried different brands/discs.

*Make 300% certain that you actually have the correct type of media. Maxell sells enough product via third parties that it's possible your label isn't in reality the correct type of disc under the hood.

If you visit hte cdr faq site that was posted in your other reply elsewhere, you can see how to determine what media you actually have.

Long term, I'd advise skipping these horrible old devices and use a low end desktop PC to copy CDs. It's not only faster, but easier IMO. The software/drive/burner hardware choices are too numerous to count. You can also use most cheap CD-R media too. And creating custom labels can be fun too wink
