I do agree with you about why we need dta when we have a digital tv already.

Do you have Comcast? My understanding is that you can still get some
channels..just not all the basic package channels. Of course with the box they can control things better (just my guess). Of course it's only $2 but we will never know what it will be 6 months from now.
