Thanks again to both of you. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I had contacted Canon, and they told me to send it in for them to look at it and also mentioned the loyalty program. I think I will just throw it in the trash instead of giving them more $. I got this camera for my mother a little over a year ago, and this started happening a month after she got it. Unfortunately, she didn't do anything about it (just started using her old camera) until I took it upon myself to look into it for her. And now, of course, it is too late. Ugh! Just venting!
