Free VLC media player from CNET download

I have been using a free video player called VLC which I downloaded from cnet. AVCHD video files are also know as M2TS files and, although I don't have any AVCHD video, the VLC software is supposed to be able to play AVCHD (M2TS) files. Also, under the Video menu at the top is a feature called "Snapshot" which will snap a picture of a frame of your video. Hope this may help.
