The easiest way is to use the usb cable and connect to your pc. It should automatically turn on. You should be able to see another drive just as you would with a flash drive. Then go to the directory for the type file you wish to delete. There are 4 : Audio, Image, Video, and Ebook. Now go to the "record" folder. You should now see the files you want to delete. Delete the files and you normally would on any flash drive. You can do this from the Cam itself, but it's more cumbersome. On the main menu, go to FILES. Click OK. Click on the drive of the flash drive and OK. Click on either audio, image, video, or ebook. Click on record and OK. Click to the image you want to delete. NOW click the volume button on the bottom of the camera. You have a chose of delete, delete all , copy, cut, file info. Choose delete . and OK. Now it will pop up with a hint dialog box that says " Would you delete the file?" This is confusing (made in China ) because if you want to delete the file you should choose NO. Choosing yes keeps the file . Hope this helps.
