When you "print" you direct where you want it to go and/or have already setup that function. If you in haven't done your setup yet, it will ask or later ask once the print mode has started. I can only point in that direction what the PC may do. The iPad side is not part of the PC is it? If sync to it or connected in some way, then the setup will answer your questions or be part of the process. usually when printing, some "default printer" is present and will try to print as the 1st uncontested output. If you redirect, you are in fact resetting the default at least for that time where it should go. Since the ptrr. is wired to print, it will respond to the PC, I just don't see how the iPad will allow it to print. If in fact the wifi setup provides a link to the ptr. will will print, but you state it isn't wifi, so where is all the wifi connections? As far as i can see as you provided, these are separate links and paths and shouldn't effect each other, Are your results different?
