First, both of us use Comcast so I hope that will be a plus.
in response to your post, my Belkin is a surf N300.
It has worked well with all but homegroups where I had to use a temporary ethernet cable from the routerto the laptop which was asking for the password. I could then remove the cable and all was fine.
I wish I was capable of using the old Netgear if it is easier or better,but I could not get it to work with my new pc that is why I got the Belkin.
I do not know why the netgear would not work maybe the change to 64byte or Win 7 or Dell's machine.
