Browsers forum: How do I block access to porn sites from my PC?

Thank you to all who contributed to this topic. I received a thank you note from Marti, the member who submitted this question, and I just wanted to share it with you all (see below), you all deserve a pat on the back. Thank you again for supporting your fellow members through your knowledge and suggestions. You all are truly second to none!

Responses re blocking porn sites

I am so very grateful to you, Lee, and to everyone who offered suggestions on my topic. The PC is already located in plain view in a location where my husband & I frequently pass. Special thanks to High Desert Charlie, TerryLS, chrisallenealing and YACU_yetAnotherCNETuser for their thoughtful suggestions. Although it is almost impossible to prevent some nasty images getting through [just try downloading IMAGES from Google & see what appears in the most innocuous (or so I would have thought) sites -- birthday greetings, for example), I feel I must at least make an attempt to prevent the most objectionable images from invading my computer. My deep appreciation to all who took time to reply.
