So basically I just need to unplug my ethernet before removing Norton. Once Norton is gone and completely uninstalled, then I can install the new one and reconnect?

Tobeach, I'm a little confused. I need to save the file to desktop, instead of running it? And then disconnect from internet and uninstall Norton completely, then I can go ahead and run the new programs. But before I install it I need to have Norton Scan it first?

Since Norton almost destroyed my computer one time before, I'm always a little worried to do it again.

One more thing Norton has done to be at the final days with them now. I received an e-mail about a month before my Norton was to expire saying that I had selected automatic renewal, which I didn't because I never save credit card info online. So I went into my account and took the auto-renew off. I got the e-mail and everything confirmed that it was off. Then all of the sudden the other night I get an e-mail from Norton saying my Norton was renewed. I wasn't happy it renewed, but the fact it was done and there were no problems made it a little better. So I went into Norton to check the new dates and everything, it says it is still going to expire in a few days, check my online account, same thing. I tried having Norton check for the status, it says it won't work, etc. So I looked at my online statement and the charge isn't listed... It is so lovely working with Norton!

Thanks for your help guys, I will probably be taking care of this in a night or so sad
