Has never been licensed in Canada because of concerns over
its side effects and persistence during the following day affecting reactions, driving, operating machinery etc. I never ran across it in the UK either. Unfortunately the US pharmaceutical industry ever since Reagan's gutting of the FDA has become a law unto itself. It's a damn' shame.
In re: reccommended meds, while the British National Formulary is admirable, providinng the prescriber with the cost of the medication they are prescribing, unfortunately the NHS insists on the cheapest possible variant of the medication regardless of efficacy or an utterly miniscule cost differential.
