Actually, JP, Grim already gave you the information you need regarding humans going without food sources and homes for months or longer at a time. You just seem to be more concerned with the bears than you are with your fellow humans and most tree hugger environmentalists are (as long as THEY are the ones with homes and food and a job).

There are also actually many times, because of the environmentalists and the green energy groups making sure that corn is grown for ethanol instead of for food causing corn products and animal feed to rise in cost thus causing the meat to cost much more, that I HAVE gone without the 'normal' diet of foods I have eaten throughout my life because I can't afford to buy what I used to be able to afford.

Now, I'm sure that I'll hear from Michelle Obama types about how they are all looking out for me and making sure I'm healthy and not eating red meat that has any fat in it and how I should be staying away from those cereals and how chicken really isn't good for me, but at 65 years old, 4'11" and under 110 lbs, I should be able to eat what I like, and actually afford to, doncha think? Especially when that 'advice' is coming from somebody who is either watching her hubby chow down publicly on ice cream (another luxury for me) and corn dogs on the campaign trail or sashaying off to another WH dinner....which I helped pay for, btw. Funny how I can afford to feed THEM, but not myself.............

Nope...not gonna worry about the bears............I have plenty of re-introduced black ones right here that keep coming for my wild blackberries all over my 23 acres.
