My point is that his call to the police and desire to have the arriving officer call him to work out a meeting place (it's in the audio) should remove any discussion of the term "vigilante". For the term to be a proper one, Zimmerman would have needed to confront the suspect first and maybe call the police later. He didn't do so and to have his name associated with the word "vigilante" as applied to a proposed act of law is at least improper if not illegal.
