So the Clinton
administration with the Affordable Housing Act forcing banks to take on housing loans that weren't fiscally sound and backed by Fannie/Freddie was not to blame? The banks were doing just fine without that directive and very few homes were being foreclosed on prior to that 'force' because the banks knew which people applying with lousy or no credit were going to be a problem and denied them the loans.
The only difference between GM and the banks, Josh, is that the banks didn't want the TARP money....that was again forced on them; whereas GM came to BO twice for bailouts and hasn't bothered to pay it back yet but both GM and BO are bragging about how well they are doing.
I'm afraid that your liberal 'point the finger at the big evil banks' isn't holding up because it was liberal Democrats that started that snowball rolling and you can keep spinning it any way you think will work, but it doesn't anymore.
