Often children who live in a rural town, have no land of their own, are mentored by surrounding farms which aid them in learning how to run a farm. It also provides an outlet for that teenage energy and serves as a source of pride for them in those rural areas. One of the biggest problems in farm areas including ranching areas too, are the increasing average age of the farmer and rancher due to fewer and fewer young men and women entering the farm economy. Sorry townnie kids, you lose out.
