Speakeasy forum: Drill, baby, drill? Not so fast....

BO says "we're drilling more now, importing less, and demand is down"......FACT: We're drilling on private and State land more because the EPA and BO can't touch that. We're importing less with demand down because NOBODY is working and EVERYBODY is sacrificing entertainment and vacations since they can't afford the gas prices.

FACT: We're exporting more than we are using here in the USA because that's where the MONEY is for the oil companies. We didn't used to export...everything that was found here was used here.

FACT: The oil companies are taxed around 40% of their income now so they make up that money by exporting instead of keeping it here.

FACT: BO has closed drilling on all Federal lands, all offshore at the Florida coast, all offshore along the Atlantic AND the Pacific costs, and all Anwar in Alaska. The ONLY permits he has actually allowed in the Gulf of Mexico was TO Mexico. The ONLY drilling off the Florida coast has been to CUBA 70 miles off the Florida Keys. Guess we'll be their best customer after Brazil.

FACT: More drilling won't give us oil overnight, but that was said for years and always denied until George W. Bush because everyone wanted a 'quick' fix. If it had been allowed years ago, that oil would already be in production and for sale here. However, when everyone, including BO during his 2008 campaign, was blaming Bush for the high gas prices (well over $3.50 per gallon), he opened up Anwar, both ocean coastlines, and the Gulf of Mexico, and by Jan 20 when BO took office, gas prices had dropped to $1.79 per gallon because the EXPECTATION alone caused it to drop.

FACT: BO took the BP oil spill and made 'green' lemonade out of a chaotic tragedy and used the situation to further HIS agenda instead of what was good for the country. There is even a tape I've seen (perhaps it's on Youtube) and during an interview, the governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal at that time saw BO when he finally arrived in the Gulf, where BO specifically told Jindal "Don't make me look bad now, you hear me?" I guess he was recalling the Mayor of New Orleans screaming on TV at Bush about taking three days to respond, and didn't want that policical nightmare on his watch repeated.
