I personally don't think any pol has a reason to speak out..
... about Rush's comments. I don't think it is a politicians job to address why and how far some pundit stuck their own head up their ass. Conservative or liberal politicians are not responsible for what Limbaugh or any other pundit says. That being said, it is appropriate for politicians to give moral support to Fluke for the insults she has suffered just because she was invited to speak out.
In my view if someone is invited to my house and an uninvited guest precedes to insult an invited guest... it is my duty to defend the invited guest. In other words, I don't expect Bohner to condemn Limbaugh but I do expect him to express sympathy to Fluke for the way she has been publicly treated. I see it as entirely appropriate for Obama to call up Fluke and express sympathies.
And as to Maher's contributions to Obama. He did nothing illegal. He did nothing that dozens of ultra rich conservatives haven't done too. To condemn Maher and not condemn those rich conservatives is where the hypocrisy comes into play, IMO.
