Use Alfred App to open applications with keyboard shortcuts

I know this thread is SUPER old, but I figured I'd throw this out there for anyone who finds it:


I was wondering the exact same thing, and while there's no way to set it up natively, I found Alfred App does some really powerful stuff. It even allows you to setup keyboard shortcuts for groups of Apps if you buy the power pack. Alfred itself is free.
