Panasonic GT-30 55 inch surround sound???

Just got the GT-30, using HDMI with a Denon receiver for my cable box and PS3. When I use the "Internet" feature on the TV the receiver does not control the picture or sound. How would I get it to do that? The only thing I can think of is to use on optical audio cable from the TV to the receiver but is there a way to have video/audio out (HDMI) when using the Internet function on the TV so that I can have surround sound for internet content? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
