There are very few parts if we get past the screws, small parts that do not matter when it comes to the display, battery and such.

I have to make some assumptions when folk do laptop repair and that's my fault. For example did you?

a) Try the generic reset noted in the Laptop Troubleshooting forum?
b) Try an external monitor?
c) Try Linux from a LiveCD?
d) See the issue in the BIOS setup screen?
