If you are that concerned about your privacy, you don't want an Android device, PERIOD.

While I setup a Gmail account when I got my Android device, I neither use Gmail or entered my contacts in it. I use a different email service and have no such concerns. No matter how careful you are in protecting your privacy, there is far more information about you that anybody can look up on the internet than you think.
