Hi drorb,

So what I'm seeing you say is that it's almost exclusively the DirecTV that you're basing the picture description on. Since you have 2 devices in between, the STB and receiver, I'm going suggest you test it somewhat by removing the products in between, and if the problem continues, you can feel assured the receiver isn't part of the equation.

Then you can test further by trying some Blu-ray movies with just the Blu-ray connected directly to see if it's the TV or the STB.
