It has a lot of modes but the output is 1080i. In 16x9 mode there are some bars that I can't see how to turn off. There is a setting to not power off so that's one item that means we can run it as long as there is power.

OK, a little better when I set the T3i to it's movie mode. It does not fill the 1080p display as I suspected but here's a picture.

If you record a movie, it plays back full screen at 1080p 24 or 30 FPS. Read:

It drops to 720x480 and I have the picture to show this.

--> This is NOT a "HDTV Studio" camera. Some think it is, but for HDTV studios, you have to shop for that.
