I'm sorry, but there seems to be a mis-communication.

In no way did I say that I could install Office but not get it to work. The advice about service packs does not apply.

The software will NOT install. All remedies have been tried, including putting the software on an accessory drive and installing from there; updating the MSXML files. The files aren't corrupt, as all of the postings on the internet could not all have corrupt installation files at the same time. In fact, my CD is the exact one I got 7-8 years ago. The CD is in perfect condition. In fact, this software worked great on this laptop -- until i formatted and re-loaded the OS. Now it will not install. So, sorry, but this issue is still open.

Thanks in advance for your help.
