Things to try:
a. Another identity in OE.
b. A new Windows account.
c. As far as I know, account data is stored in the registry. So you could make a .reg-file to restore that corrupted address to its old state. Easier than doing it manually.
d. Give up and use hibernate in stead of shutdown most of the time. It doesn't harm at all to use shutdown only once a week or even only if needed for (Windows) updates. That makes the problem much smaller (but equally annoying).
e. Clean reinstall of Windows. But that's a lot of work for such an issue.
