electrical haywire

Jjust experienced same problem with 97 Grand Cherokee. After replacing crank sensor 4 times got one to work, had all symptoms to different degrees. Spend the 81 dollars the dealer requires and hopefully end all misery. I had replaced ECM and pick-up and kept coming back to faulty crank sensor. Was a complete week of pure hell, but is running fine, gauges working great. This is a hall effect switch that is difficult to manufacture, test, and install. Good Luck, Wynn
