Is it a dongle or a memory stick?

I've got one of CNET's memory sticks and it is just that, a small device that slips into a spare USB port and allows me to copy files to it.

But if you mean a USB wireless dongle, then this is a device that connects to a spare USB port and gives "Wireless internet access" to a computer that doesn't have a wireless card. Typically it will communicate with a wireless router to allow internet access through your ISP modem, but it can also be used 'on the go' in Internet wireless hotspots.
