You see where we went under the hood to discover what was going on.
Your machine might be doing the same thing where it keeps the CPU at 100% and not get a break.
There's also some AMD CPU driver that I had to install on my dual core AMD just last week.
It's noted at step 6 at http://www.fastfs.com/help_pages/hp%20downgrade.htm
That is not automatic so I had to do that manually.
Sorry if this was unclear. The title of the discussion is one thing. What we did was quite something else so I can only guess you didn't read it.
