There are so many choices from which to pick. It doesn't really seem as though your needs are that great so it should be easy to find something for well under 1k. A good friend of mine just purchased an I-5 Toshiba from Office Depot for about 600.00 and it does what he needs and then some, he is a Vetrinarian and hooks it to several external devices that he uses in his practice, it is really pretty impressive. So there is a thought, I thought it was pretty hard to beat for the money. Good luck!!
