If you don't turn it off, who cares?

I rarely turn it off, so boot times are not very important. I suppose if I really cared I would get a solid state drive and really go to town. I can go for weeks without rebooting and it runs just fine. But then, I am an IT guy who knows how to keep the crapware off the computer. Sometimes MS reboots it after a patch, but that happens at 3 am so I am not awake to care. BTW, I wish you would stop bringing up disk fragmentation. Windows 7 deals with that automatically and, even back in the old days, it took an immense amount of fragmentation to slow down a PC, something that few would ever encounter. We have 12,000 PCs at my company and none of the XPs or hundreds of servers get defragged. It just is not that big a deal for the 99%ers.
