Assumed Monitor Configuration

In an effort to try and consolidate multiple computers into one, I am wondering if there is a way I may have overlooked to force Windows into assuming a certain monitor configuration.
The configuration is as follows.
1: Monitor connected directly to computer
2: HDMI cable to receiver, receiver to TV
3: Computer is on 24/7
4: Not that it should matter, but Win 7 Home Premium x64, GeForce 550Ti
So for example, say I am about to go to bed, and I want to queue up some Corner Gas or Red vs Blue to watch while I drift off to sleep. I want to be able to shut off the #1 monitor without it affecting XBMC.
Similarly, maybe I wake up in the night and only want to turn on the #2 setup. XBMC can be configured to always start on a specific display, but that doesn't work if Windows tries to be helpful in detecting only one monitor and assuming it's the primary.
Basically I want to be able to use either display or even both, independently of one another without Windows constantly probing the setup and trying to reshuffle everything. Is this possible?
