You're correct, I was wrong. For Blu-Ray players like the C5500, make sure the disc tray is empty and press and hold the STOP button until the unit resets. It was an honest mistake - certainly not designed to be nefarious.
We have a Service Issues thread here at the top of Page 1 of the C|Net Samsung forums. If you think a repair or replacement should be performed by Samsung, that's where those can be addressed.
