No fix yet; Samsung Unlikely to Help

I contacted Samsung and sent them a link to this forum. They told me that there is absolutely no way to get the problem fixed without sending the unit in for repair (a lot of $$$). Further, they wouldn't let me contact the "executive customer care" department without providing them with a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a product that is out of warranty?

Who would think that a company would send out a software update that destroys the unit and then choose not to take responsibility for it?

Shame on you, Samsung.
