Free Capacitor Fix for My LN-T4042H Model TV

I appreciate the advice to call Samsung directly (800.726.7864) to see if my set (LN-T4042H) qualified for their one-time free capacitor replacement fix. I called them on 10/13/10 and got through to a customer service rep (Tiffany) almost immediately. After providing her with my model and serial number she said my LCD TV did qualify for the free fix. She provided me with a Service Order number and the name and phone number of the authorized repair facility in my area (TK Electronics in Redmond WA). When I called them I was able to set the appointment for today(10/18/10). Their service tech, Juan, arrived promptly this morning as promised and told me he does at least two of these capacitor replacement fixes for Samsung every day and so it was no wonder he was able to have my TV fixed in 20 minutes. He was terrific. I would encourage anyone else having this same problem with their Sansung LCD TV (regardless of model number) to contact Samsung right away. THANK YOU happy
