Same thing happened to me too - black screen with no sound

My Samsung LN-T4665 TV started to have this black screen two days ago, and I was not able even to revive it after unplug it for a whole day.
A simple Google search brought out that many similar cases, it's really appalling. I purchased it on Amazon.com before thanksgiving two years ago, and I was not an avid TV watcher, only watch it about 5 hours a week, and I was very surprised to face this break down.

Based on the information here, it's going to be hard to fix and very expensive, Samsung should be ashamed not to step up and recall the defective product.

I will not buy a Samsung anymore
