problem persists

Hi Kees,

When booting up in Safe Mode with Networking, the problem is exactly the same, i.e.:

Firefox opens pages and downloads files without problem, but when installing downloaded software (antivirus etc.) an error message pops up: 'The installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings.'

while Outlook displays this error message: 'The server name you entered cannot be found on the network.'

[PS: I should have specified that this is not a wireless problem; I am connected/wired to a broadband modem.]
