OTOH though, you guys complaining about the very subtle difference between how the 3GS, 4 & 4S play LOSSY files is sort of curious. My $20 refurb Sansa with rockbox knocks the daylights out of our iPhones/iPods/etc. since it can play lossless files very well. True audiophiles don't complain since they know the difference between lossless and lossy is the dealbreaker. It's also silly to compare headphone output to dock connector output on an iOS device. The sound output from the dock connector is where the rubber hits the road, people!
