The fact that there might actually be undisclosed hardware inside the device that can track me acurately is pretty interesting. It really cannot be the Skyhook Wireless Wi-Fi Positioning Service (which is the Wi-Fi triangulation protocol) because I am 100% sure I'm not on Wi-Fi. And it can't be remembering previous routes I've taken because it works on trips I've never taken before. I'm afraid to ask Apple what the deal is because I don't want it turned off. It's really cool and occasionally useful!
