You are right, PhotoMan. That is the way it should be.
In an ideal world, yes the techs should know every operating system, but we don't live in an ideal world, do we? If anything, I was shocked that he was shocked. (laughs)
Frankly, I'm just *not* surprised at all the techs don't know how to configure an Apple (or Linux, Solaris etc..) I think that was my point. That this is just another example of the stranglehold Microsoft has in the marketplace, not just in sales but in training & support. Ask the people at Novell if you don't believe me. They know all about strangleholds.
I'm just pointing out the reality of the situation, that's all.
