Samsung Galaxy Note II carrier change

Can a samsung galaxy note II (in the uS) be switched from TMobile to Verizon? If yez, how do i go about that II? I'm thinking , because this phone's radio will also work with tmobiles future upgrade to LTE, i should just have to unlock it, download Verizon software and throw in the Verizon sim card. Am i on the right track?

LTE carriers in the U.S. are using different frequency bands, so it's not as simple as 'downloading Verizon software'.
The device would have to have LTE bands 1, 3 & 5 for use on Verizon in the U.S. (I have yet to see which LTE bands this handset can accommodate.) More importantly though, it also would have to be approved by Verizon for use on their network, which for that carrier, isn't permitted. Verizon takes Verizon branded/issued devices only at this point.

So even if T-Mobile enables the current disabled LTE radio on this handset with their LTE/4G rollout, you wont' be able to use it w/ Verizon because Verizon is restricted, but also because I believe they are rolling out LTE on AWS (1700), which Verizon does not use (yet).

The Note II uses GSM on T-mobile and Verizon uses CDMA for voice, and is incompatible. Pepe7's answer is correct that you cannot use it on Verizon.
