Resolved question

samsung galaxy note 2

by 408chaos - 2/10/13 5:17 PM

hi. i recently purchased the galaxy note 2. i love the phone, but i'm having 2 issues with it. first: last night when i went to bed, the battery was over 50% charged. this morning, when i got up, the phone was completely and totally dead. it was so dead, that it wouldnt even power on. i hooked it up to the charger, and when the screen came on, it said the phone was in "safe mode". after it charged for about three hours, i powered the phone off and on, and when it came back on, it was no longer in "safe mode". and everything appears to be ok. my question, which i emailed to samsung, and got back an answer only about "safe mode", was: why did this happen when i wasnt even using the phone? and what can i do to prevent it from happening again? or is there something wrong with this phone?
the second question i have, is: i purchased a 16gb micro sd card to keep game apps on, only to be told by a samsung representative, that only apps 1gb and larger can be moved to the sd card. are they crazy? i have a lot of apps downloaded on this phone, but none of them comes close to being 1 gb. so, my question for you: is this right? there is no app that can be downloaded that will move apps to the sd card? unless they are over 1gb? why would i purchase a 16gb sd card, that none of my apps can be moved to? i'm kind of ticked off about this, and i was hoping that someone here would have some advice. i am an avid cnet review reader and always consult their reviews before purchasing my phone. this galaxy note 2 is my 7th samsung phone. i love their phones and did not have any of these concerns with my sync, impression, eternity or infuse. but i understand that the galaxy s3 also will not allow apps under 1 gb to be moved. thank you. any help would be much appreciated.
sheryl
