Samsung Galaxy S3 GTI 9300 Wifi Issue

I've googled it, I've looked everywhere and couldn't find the answer. It simply doesn't connect to some wifi routers. It always says 'Disabled'
I've disabled the Mac Address filtering in my router and it still says Disabled although the signal is strong and my entire family's Samsung devices are always connected to it.
One thing I did was that 2 days ago I tried rooting the phone, didn't work, sort of crashed the software I had to take in for repairment, eversince, the issue has occured.
Help would be much appreciated.. Thanks!

You may need to do a system restore

When your root failed, it could have affected the wifi settings in the device. Best of luck !!
