LG Revere pictures via bluetooth?

I'm pretty new to cell phones and totally new to bluetooth. I'm trying to understand what I need to be able to get pictures from this new LG Revere of my wife's to a computer. I've determined from both the LG and Verizon people that you can't do it via a USB cable; the only way to do it is via email. There's no way to attach a removable memory device like SD chip or flash drive. So I've learned how to email the pictures one at a time via Verizon at $.25 each. I've also determined (via the downloaded 125 page user guide) that this gizmo doesn't support WiFi, but it does support bluetooth, another category I'm totally ignorant about. If I buy some kind of USB bluetooth gizmo for my laptop, could I then send the pictures via bluetooth and avoid the $.25 per picture charge from Verizon?
Remember that I'm new to cell phones and totally ignorant of bluetooth. I'm very knowledgeable about Windows, but until my wife bought this cell phone, I thought I'd get through life without cell phones and bluetooth, so I've got a whole lot of catching up to do!

But adding bluetooth to a laptop is dirt cheap. Here's a dongle I own.

You should see this model widely from 1 to 10 bucks. The neat part is that for Windows xp to 7 I don't have to find drivers.

-> Let's be honest here. The system with this phone is to create REVENUE and is not to give you an easy free way to get the pictures over. Some folk need to be told this so I did.

I'll check out the link you posted. Having spent several decades in the business world, I know corporation's main interest is in their profits, especially those with publicly traded stocks (I imagine CBS is no exception). I've got a lot of self-education to do re cell phones and bluetooth though. Thanks again for helping me get started.

All right, I went to the local Micro Center store, bought a bluetooth dongle, installed the software from the disc it came with, connected with the cell phone via instructions in the user guide, and son of a gun - it actually works! I guess I'm actually getting dragged into the 21st century. Now I can copy all the pictures just about like I would've from a flash drive, don't have to go though the agony of typing in email addresses on the cell phone, and don't have to pay Verizon $.25 per picture for doing it.
I thought I was going to get through life without having to fool with cell phones, blue tooth, and Ubuntu, but now I almost know what I'm doing with them at the tender age of 74. laugh Ain't technology wunnerful! wink
