I just bought an LG840G tracfone. When I scroll through my contacts it responds too quickly before I find the person I want to call. It dials someone I just touched along the way to my intended contact person.
I just tried holding my touch point without picking up my finger and retouching. That seemed to help a little.
What other clues can you give me?

Practice for me. I learned to flick rather than scroll.

Most folk are using the method they use on a PC trackpad. On a phone it's a new action with a flick rather than a hold you finger and move. You may have to figure out this or another action.

Thanks for the idea of flicking. That seems to create more possibilities of calling a wrong person. Touching and dragging as I mentioned works the best so far.
Any other options welcome.

The fingertip touches down and is in motion at the same time and the motion continues as the finger lifts off.
Think of aiplanes. How they practice Touch and Go landings.

Thanks, that works. I need to practice it until I can do it every time. But the explanation of touching down and in motion at the same time was a good one.
