Compatibility question (plan and type of phone)...

Need some advice/recommendations. Long story short: Dog got hold of my cellphone (Verizon Pantech Caper model# TXT8035PP). Totally destroyed the face, buttons, and the board underneath that, as well as the back cover. Phone won't unlock, and cannot get any functions to perform.Had to remove the battery to get it to shut off/turn on.
I am on a Verizon Prepaid unlimited talk/text plan.of $50/mo. I would like to purchase another phone off the 'net, but not this particular model (too much trouble w/ the buttons and activating the phone when it's in my pocket).
What other phones would you recommend I look at, and still be able to use this same plan? Would I be able to keep my same phone #? Thanks, David.

Both of those slider-type models I see on the Verizon prepaid site for $50-60, ballpark.

......whichever phone you chose must be a Verizon branded device or they will not allow you to activate it.

Pepe7, birdmantd... Thanks for your replies. I was able to obtain a Verizon slider phone from a former employee, and was also able to transfer my old # and all saved items to the new phone. So, all worked out well. Thanks, David.
